Egg Oil Massage: 6 Steps to follow for hairfall prevention
Apart from disease, hair loss could also be a product of aging or genetics. So, once you are satisfied that your hair loss is not a symptom of any disease, the next thing is to start applying the egg oil if you are experiencing hair disorder.
The following 6 steps are given to help users apply egg oil for hair treatment effectively.
STEP 1: Now that you are ready to apply egg oil on your hair, there are few things you need to know about the product. Egg oil is natural, mess free and stable. It does not smell like the yolk of raw egg, neither does it cook in the hair when having a hot shower.
You are completely safe when you make use of egg oil as there is no risk of salmonella which can cause scalp infection.
STEP 2: Now you have your egg oil ready, it’s time to apply it. The good thing is that you can make your own egg oil at home by heating egg yolks on the stove. The egg oil should be placed in a sauce pan and after heating for some time, it will give a dark colored oil.
If don’t have the time to make one, then you can purchase it commercially. The egg oil sold commercially also contains the same ingredient as the one you prepare at home.
It’s time to apply the oil
You can either mix the egg oil with other ingredients like olive oil (2 tablespoons). The reason for this is to help create something like a mask and make the oil easier to apply. Honey is also a nice ingredient to add to the egg oil because it has a great scent and will also make your hair shine brighter.
STEP 3: You can now massage the oil into your scalp gently with your fingertips. This session will last for about 5 – 10 minutes and make sure it gets to every area on your scalp.
STEP 4: Now that the oil has been applied thoroughly, allow it to stay overnight. You can allow it to stay up to 3 hours or overnight. The reason is because egg oil needs enough time to act.
Note: Do not sleep on your pillow without covering your hair or the pillow. You can use a clean towel to wrap your hair or cover your pillow with a clean cloth to prevent stains.
STEP 5: Shampoo your hair the next morning when you wake up, that’s if it stayed overnight. Make sure you use a gentle and high-quality shampoo to give you a good result. It will also be nice if you can get a natural or herbal shampoo that is free from artificial ingredients or chemicals.
You should also remember to use the shampoo once, because constant use can remove the natural lipid of your hair, thus making it dry and brittle.
Note: Instead of using a blow dryer, you should allow your hair to dry naturally after shampooing. The reason is because the heat and power produced this equipment can cause further damage to your hair.
STEP 6: If you want quick and better result, then use the oil consistently. The usual process of apply, massage and leave overnight, should also be maintained. You can also apply egg oil twice a week, at least for a period of 12 weeks. If you use this product regularly, it will help to give proper nourishment to the follicular cell membranes in your hair.
Note: Use this egg oil regularly to prevent hair loss and graying of hair. If you discontinue, it may gradually bring back your hair fall and graying problems.
How to make Egg Oil at home
Egg oil is very beneficial and the good thing is that you can actually make your own oil at home. It is easy if you adhere strictly to the following steps:
STEP 1: You need to get all items ready to prepare your wonderful egg oil. To prepare this miracle oil, you would need the following items:
- 6 chicken eggs
- 1 pan
- Strainer
- A spoon
- Heat source (stove)
- Dry glass or ceramic bottle
STEP 2: Now that you have all the items ready, the next step is to hard boil all the eggs (6 eggs) for about 15 to 20 minutes. Allow the eggs to cool for a while, peel and cut them into halves.
STEP 3: After cutting the boiled eggs into halves, use a spoon to separate the yolk from the white portions. Remember, what you need is the yolk, so you can use the white portion for other things.
STEP 4: Once you have separated all the yolks from the white part (albumen), place them into a clean frying pan and mash them thoroughly to have a fine texture.
STEP 5: The next step is to put the heat source on and place the frying pan containing the egg yolk on it. Allow it to continue cooking until it gets to a point where the entire mass turns dark and begins to smoke/smell. Also, remember to stir and mash continuously.
STEP 6: You can continue to heat until it gets to the point where all the protein are completely burnt black and oil starts coming out. Though it will take quite a long time for this to happen, but one has to be patient. You will also observe a lot of pungent smoke at this point.
STEP 7: Now that you have what you were looking for, give the pan sometime to cool properly.
Note: The pan should cool to room temperature before you touch it, in order to avoid getting burnt.
STEP 8: The oil is already out but needs to be filtered to a container. At this point, you need to squeeze the oil out and filter it through a strainer or fine cloth. After filtering, place in a clean and dry bottle. You can also use a ceramic bottle if you like but not a plastic bottle or metal.
Note: In order not to waste much of the oil, do not use cotton cloth as a filter. It tends to absorb much of the oil when used. If you find solid particles in the oil already filtered, then do it again until the oil is clear and transparent oil. Do not expose to water or dip anything inside the bottle for it to store well for long. If you want, the oil can be refrigerated for more than 3 years. In fact, if handled properly, your egg oil can remain sterile for up to 4 years.
STEP 9: Since you have completed extracted the egg oil, it is time to start utilizing it. For hair fall, dandruff, or whitening of hair, you can use this oil at least once or twice a week.
